ABIL® ME 45 - the easy-to-use, multiple benefit silicone conditioning agent

• PEG- and preservative-free microemulsion
• Premium hair conditioning
• Outstanding heat protection and color retention
• High efficacy combined with very easy processability
• Excellent compatibility with clear shampoo and
  conditioner formulations

Evonik, a successful manufacturer of organomodified silicones,
has developed ABIL® ME 45, a new patent-protected multiple
benefit silicone microemulsion. This PEG- and preservative-free
product provides excellent and intensive conditioning, which
leads to extraordinary manageability and smoothness of hair.
Furthermore, ABIL® ME 45 significantly improves the wash
fastness of dyed hair and shows outstanding heat protecting
properties. Even at low dosage ABIL® ME 45 achieves a high level
of performance.

Delivered as a microemulsion, the hydrophobic silicone quat is
very easy to process. The low viscous liquid can be added to the
formulations just by simple stirring. The microemulsion is very
stable and keeps its color appearance over time and in the
presence of perfumes. In addition, the very homogeneous
distribution of the silicone quat in the microemulsion offers a
significant competitive advantage in the final formulations,
enabling for example brilliantly clear shampoo formulations and
reducing the risk of build–up effects on hair fibres.
ABIL® ME 45 is suitable for a broad range of applications in the
hair care market, including hair conditioning rinses, conditioning
shampoos, leave-in conditioners, hair & body shampoos, styling
products and hair dyes.

With ABIL® ME 45, Evonik presents a premium easy-to-process,
multiple benefit silicone conditioning agent, that efficiently
maintains and regenerates the healthy look and soft feel of hair.
