"Take Care" Package for Sun Protection by Evonik
The business line Care Specialties of Evonik offers a variety of different products in order to support cosmetic formulators in developing market trend based products for sun care.
This starts with two well-established mineral UV-filters: TEGO® Sun T 805, a hydrophobically coated Titanium Dioxide for broad UV-B and partly UV-A protection. The entire UV-A spectrum is covered by a combination with TEGO® Sun Z 800, a coated Zinc Oxide.
To meet today’s requirements for a modern facial sunscreen the Ecocert approved, plant extract TEGO® Turmerone can be incorporated. “The golden spice of India” has significant anti-oxidant activity and decreases wrinkle depth.
Lactil® is a blend of humectants supplementing the natural moisturizing factor of human skin. It can be used as moisturizing component in sunscreens as well as after sun applications. In vivo studies have demonstrated both a short term and a long term moisturizing effect.
Improving the conditions of photodamaged dermis, Phytosphingosine SLC is an excellent active ingredient for after sun applications. This product is a combination of naturally occurring, skin-identical Phytosphingosine with salicylic acid.
