An exceptionally clear and flawless skin is not surprisingly a new desire within the Personal Care Market. However, micellar cleansers now offer consumers a simple solution for skin cleansing, representing a new era in facial skin care. While face washes, tonics and wipes have been the dominant cleansing formats for decades, newer formats such as micellar cleansers have become a major trend across the globe, and still have more potential to grow. The numerous benefits that these formulations provide, range from skin cleansing to the easy removal of (even water-proof) make-up as well as skin hydration. These are very good reasons why many consumers have already incorporated micellar cleansers into their daily beauty routine.
With micellar cleansers less is more. First, because their formula is usually less complex and consists of fewer ingredients which is highly valued by 'safety conscious' consumers. Second, micellar cleansers meet the current environmental trend of water conservation as they do not need to be rinsed-off, and therefore provide an opportunity for consumers to lower their water usage. The challenge for micellar cleanser formulations lies within the high demands placed on the ingredient’s properties as they need to be able to easily remove long-lasting and waterproof make-up, whilst being mild enough at the same time to be left on the skin. Evonik´s most recent launch, RHEANCE® One, is a very unique all-natural multifunctional ingredient that’s fully biodegradable, with an outstanding cleansing performance and offers excellent skin compatibility that when used in micellar water formulations efficiently removes long-lasting and waterproof make-up. Evonik’s high performing PEG-free solubilizer TEGOSOFT® PC 41 MB is another prime example that meets the most challenging requirements of micellar cleanser formulations. With its range of TEGO® Solve products, Evonik offers other highly effective PEG-free solubilizers that provide a superior skin feel and are 100% based on renewable raw materials. TEGO® Betain 810, an extremely mild and preservative-free / non-irritant surfactant, is especially suitable for mild but effective cleansing formulations such as micellar water. The base formula can be easily expanded with TEGO® Cosmo C 100, a nature identical amino acid that adds additional energizing and revitalizing properties to the regular cleansing formulation, and helps to support the protection of the skin.
With this micellar concept, Evonik provides an inspiring selection of formulations for different types of micellar cleansers, including a micellar water, micellar oil, micellar gel as well as a micellar wipes that have all been extensively tested and proven to outperform most market benchmark products.
O/W Sun Care Spray SPF 50
Protect yourself from UV radiation by applying this low-viscous high SPF sun care spray. Based on TEGO® Care PBS 6, which is able to stabilize high amounts of UV filters even in low-viscous systems. TEGOSOFT® XC efficiently solubilizes UV filters and is there-fore an excellent choice for sun care products with a high SPF.

1. Heat phase A and B separately to approx. 80 °C.
2. Add phase A to phase B with stirring1).
4. Cool with gentle stirring to approx. 60 °C and add phase C.
5. Homogenize for a short time.
6. Cool with gentle stirring and add phase D below 40 °C and stir well.
7. Add phase E .
8. Homogenise for a short time.
9. Cool with gentle stirring below 30°C.
10. Add phase F and stir.
