VARISOFT® EQ 65
Degussa’s business line Goldschmidt Personal Care has developed an innovative, readily biodegradable, vegetable based cationic emulsifier for skin care products such as hair conditioners as well as skin care creams and lotions.
VARISOFT® EQ 65 improves excellently the detangling and combing of wet and dry hair, it provides a superior dry feel of hair and also effects the typical pleasant sensory profile of cationic emulsifiers when used in formulations of creams and lotions.
The product is an ester quat based on high purity stearic acid (INCI: Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride (and) Cetearyl Alcohol) and outperforms the conditioning properties of Cetrimonium Chloride. It shows similar properties like the very efficient Behentrimonium Chloride.
